Our commitment

WireMarkets is committed to providing a safe and responsible trading environment. Most of our customers trade for entertainment within their means, but for some, gambling can become harmful. The tools and resources on this page exist to help you stay in control.

Tips for safer trading

• Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
• Set a budget and stick to it.
• Don’t chase losses — take a break.
• Keep trading as one of several leisure activities.
• Avoid trading when stressed, upset, or under the influence.
• Be honest with yourself about how often and how much you trade.

Account tools

The following tools are available from your account settings to help you stay in control:

• Deposit limits — daily, weekly, or monthly caps on how much you can deposit.
• Loss limits — caps on net losses over a chosen period.
• Reality checks — periodic reminders showing how long you have been on WireMarkets.
• Cooldown / time-out — a short break (24 hours to 6 months) during which you cannot trade or deposit.
• Self-exclusion — a longer break of at least 6 months. See below for how to apply.

Self-assessment

If you are unsure whether your trading is becoming a problem, the following questions may help:

• Have you spent more time or money than you intended?
• Have you tried to win back losses?
• Have you borrowed money or sold possessions to fund trading?
• Has trading affected your work, studies, relationships, or mood?
• Have others expressed concern about your trading?

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion suspends your account so you cannot trade or deposit for a fixed period of at least 6 months. During this time, log-in is restricted and marketing communications stop. At the end of the period the exclusion remains in place until you actively request reinstatement, which is reviewed by our Responsible Gambling team.

Underage gambling

You must be at least 18 years old to use WireMarkets. We carry out age and identity verification on every account. If you suspect a minor has accessed WireMarkets, please contact our support team immediately.
